I’m so excited to get acquainted with you and share my passion for environmentally and socially responsible fashion and jewelry. I’d love to take you along with me during my eco-adventures, in-depth researching, community activism and Hollywood charity engagements. I’d love to take this first posting and introduce myself, my background and my passion for design and the environment, and after that … well, we’ll hit the ground running!
For over twenty-five years, I’ve been very involved with social and earth-based causes that cover quite a bit of territory. All told, I’ve been fighting the good fight since I was about seven years old. That’s when I first connected with a school lesson on littering. One might not think that something so simple would be the big light bulb moment that would change a person’s life forever, but for me it was. It connected me to something that had been an innate part of my being from day one, and hearing that other people felt the same way turned a light on that couldn’t be turned off. From that moment on, the logic behind making choices that simply help others and keep our planet happy was the only way that my brain could function.
Starting with the health and balance of our own bodies, I became passionate about nutrition, organics, local farming and natural beauty. To learn as much as I could, I studied the practices and intentions of companies like Whole Foods and Aveda at the age of 14. After that, during my college years, I became aware of my love for architecture and spacial design. I then integrated that passion with my interest in health and well being by becoming a green builder and green sustainability coach at the age of 22. I managed my own green construction company to great success for almost a decade, and I was pleased to have my work showcased in magazines on television shows.
My ever-expanding desire to make eco-consciousness accessible to absolutely everyone inspired me to launch a new branch of my company. I wanted to design and offer a new type of green product that anyone could have access to and afford. My luxury custom homes were wonderful, but only a select few people would ever actually come into contact with them and get to enjoy them every day. So that’s when I started Rebekah Green Jewelry! As yet another opportunity to express beauty and design through living art, I discovered a new passion for fashion, accessories, gold jewelry and 14K gold earrings, in particular. I felt that designing beautiful earrings was the best way to reach as wide an audience as possible with my green fashion. After studying everything that I could about the gold jewelry industry, I discovered a way of manufacturing the pieces which would create a truly green product without compromising my design aesthetic.

Along the way, I have made many eco-friends and been introduced to many environmental organizations who are doing amazing work in the world. In my blog, I would like to introduce you to them. I’m passionate about keeping all of us inspired, for our fashion, for ourselves, for our families and for the planet. I love community service, environmental activism and becoming Eco-Heroes in fun and rewarding ways!
